As Chinese is Taiwan’s official language, most Bachelor programmes are taught in this language. International students considering to apply, should provide Chinese proficiency certificate at CEFR B2 level or above, mainly the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL), HSK or UEC are the accepted certificates. However, you can enrol in many English-taught programmes, although these are mainly for the Master’s degree and PhD courses. TOEFL and IELTS tests are mainly accepted for the English language entry requirements.

In Taipei universities, students can register for dual or joint degrees and MBA’s as well.

Choose from the following degrees: arts, medicine, social sciences, engineering, agriculture, public health, computer science, law, business, philosophy, Chinese literature, economics, Asian studies, languages and many more.

Distance degree courses are mostly for students interested in specialising in computer engineering.

You should not miss Ximending, a famous area for shopping and entertainment, or Xinyi District, also popular among tourists for its many shopping stores.

Savour specific Asian cuisine in local restaurants, but also international and you can relax in some nice bars.

Attend one of the many festivals, like: the Double Ten Day fireworks and concerts, The Taipei Lantern Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival and more.
