Overview
Inorganic Chemistry from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava graduate has deep (complex) theoretical knowledge, experimental experience, knowledge of managing a working group, and is able to work creatively in scientific teams.The graduates of Inorganic chemistry PhD study are ready for creative scientific research work in inorganic chemistry, coordination chemistry, inorganic biochemistry and material chemistry fields of the basic scientific as well as technological practice. Graduates are capable to synthesize new inorganic, coordination or organometallic compounds, to analyze these compounds by modern analytical methods as spectral, magnetic, or X-ray diffraction methods.
Careers
The graduate has sufficient theoretical foundation for the scientific problems solving, he is able to use methodology of scientific research, to present his own scientific problem solutions and he is able to use modern methods of solving the scientific problems. The graduate knows the principles of scientific work respecting the legal, environmental aspects of new compounds preparation and also is familiar with ethical, social aspects of scientific work, result presentations, and is well informed about development of the subject under study and its contribution for practice.

- Functional composite materials based on layered hydrosilicates and polymers
- New Joining methods for advanced ceramic materials
- Influence of grain boundary chemical composition of nitride ceramics on the mechanical properties
- Development of new advanced ceramics with the improved high temperature properties
