The first 18 months of the course are taught and comprises five doctoral level modules (level 8) which build the students research skills and develops them as leaders of research in their area of professional interest. The modules are:
Each module contributes to the students own research project which begins in year two.
Students are required to attend the university for 18 days during the first the year, for eight days in year two, and by arrangement with their supervisor in years three and four. Study days will be spread across the year.

You should normally hold an upper second Honours Degree and a Masters Degree at merit or above and have at least two years appropriate work experience in a relevant field in a professional capacity.
