There is a strong collaboration between the doctoral school and three institutes of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences: Institute for Solid State Physics, Institute for Technical Physics and Material Science, and the KFKI Institute for Particle and Nuclear Physics, as well as several international scientific collaborators and local industrial partners.

Students have to collect 180 credits by taking regular courses, teaching and research activity. They have to publish two papers in accepted international journals (with impact factor). They have to pass the Doctoral Examination, prepare the PhD Dissertation and defend it.
A firm knowledge of English or German is absolutely necessary to be able to take our courses in English or in German. Concerning the international programmes offered by the University of Pécs, the English language requirement is:
