About

Education

We attract students onto our Master's programmes from across the globe who recognise and value our approach to research and impact driven education. Our teaching modules and projects are continually updated to meet the requirements of new business and industry sectors and the opportunities of globalisation.

Over £700,000 scholarship budget with scholarships ranging from 25% - 50% tuition fee discount for the top applicants. Awards will be made on a rolling basis with the final application deadline being 20th May 2017.

WMG holds several Open Days over the academic year. Dates for 2017 are: 16th February | 23rd March | 11th May | 29th June.

Research

WMG is also continually growing and advancing to accommodate our numerous research activities, business collaborations and teaching. Our extensive laboratory and workshop facilities include theInternational Manufacturing Centre, state-of-the-art International Digital Lab and International Automotive Research Centre which house some of the most advanced research and education programmes in the world.

In September 2013, we opened the International Institute for Product and Service Innovation. In September 2014, we opened the International Institute for Nanocomposites Manufacturing and theWMG Academy for Young Engineers and looking ahead, we currently have the National Automotive Innovation Centre in development.

Our business partnerships include local SME’s and global companies such asJaguar Land Rover, China Aerospace, GE Healthcare, Goodrich, IBM, and Siemens. Student services

As a WMG Master’s student you will join a community of postgraduate students from more than 60 countries. You will develop the academic skills and latest knowledge, as well as challenging you to develop the essential practical and soft skills to help you impress employers and progress in your career. The future of industry requires people who are able to think outside the box, solve problems, work effectively in multinational teams, see business operations from a wider perspective as well as within their specialism, and have the confidence to do all this right from the outset. This blend is intended to make you stand out from the crowd.

Housing services

The University of Warwick is one of the biggest campus accommodation providing universities in the UK. We have over 6000 bedrooms on campus for students. There are different types of on-campus accommodation; en-suite or standard accommodation.

All accommodation has self-catering facilities and is just a 5-15 minute walk from the academic buildings.If you would prefer to stay off campus, we also manage up to 2000 bedrooms off campus in Coventry or Leamington Spa all within easy reach of the University by bus.

Library services

The Library is located in the middle of the main campus. It houses approximately 1,242,000 books and over 13 km of archives and manuscripts. The Library also runs the Learning Grid based in University House, which is a technology rich space for all members of the University to use and provides access to video conferencing facilities, smart boards, networked PCs and a collection of core text books.

Medical services

The campus has its own health centre at which students can register with during their studies. There is also an on site Pharmacy.

Student Life

Campus life

The University of Warwick campus is a lively, cosmopolitan place with its own shops, banks, bars and restaurants -an exciting place to live and work with everything you could need close at hand.

There is a great sense of community at Warwick: The campus is home to students and staff from over 145 different countries and from all backgrounds, and is a great resource for the local community with excellent facilities such as Warwick Arts Centre and the University Sports Centre.

The campus occupies 750 acres on three adjacent sites: Central campus, Gibbet Hill campus, Westwood campus. There are lakes and woods, trees and landscaped gardens but whilst the campus has many green open spaces.

Sports facilities

The main campus hosts a large leisure centre, comprising of 25m swimming pool, two sports halls, gymnasium, squash courts and rock-climbing facility. Elsewhere on campus are a number of other sports halls, outside tennis courts, 400 m athletics track, multi-purpose outdoor surfaces and cricket grounds. Sports facilities are being constantly expanded.

Indoor tennis courts have recently been opened on the Westwood Campus sports venue and an Olympic-size swimming pool has been rumoured in the long-term, depending on Coventry City Council's priorities. Most of the University's sports facilities are open to the general public.

Student clubs

The Students Union at Warwick following extension and refurbishment was reopened in 2010 to reveal a new and up to date social space for students. Not only does the Students' Union provide restaurants, bars and a nightclub, it is also home to over 200 Student Societies and sporting and social Events including One World Week, "the largest student-run international event in the World" WMG also has it's own student run WMG Society. Within the Students Union, there are also a number of banks, travel agent, hairdressers, pharmacy and supermarket.

The University of Warwick accredits all of our courses, along with professional membership bodies approving many of them.

The courses are accreditated by The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Institute of Export (IOE),
