Housing services

Accommodation is something to start thinking about before you come to Berlin, although it may be difficult to finalise before you arrive. In particular, if you have special requirements, a very limited budget or plan on moving to Berlin with your partner/family, it is essential that you come to Berlin early and allow sufficient time for your search.

Many students arrange temporary accommodation prior to their arrival and spend the first few weeks of their time here searching for accommodation. The best way you can prepare is to decide which type of accommodation you would like and find out about the options available to you in Berlin.
