History
WMG, International Manufacturing Centre was founded by Professor Lord Bhattacharyya in 1980 in order to reinvigorate UK manufacturing. Our success over the past 30 years is the result of cutting edge research and effective knowledge transfer, working with global companies such as Jaguar LandRover, TATA, TVS, BAE Systems, AstraZeneca, Siemens, GlaxoSmithKline and Airbus to name but a few.
Education
We offer unrivalled postgraduate education to over 1,500 students around the world each year. Our taught modules are continually updated to meet the requirements of new business and industry sectors and the opportunities of globalisation.
The majority of our academic and teaching staff have industrial or business backgrounds which translate into innovative courses closely related to industry. This, coupled with academic excellence, has led to WMG becoming a global group with a number of overseas collaborative education centres.
Research
WMG education and research is applied and practical - all of our research projects are dedicated to finding solutions to real world problems. This enables our students to benefit from first-hand understanding of the issues facing modern business and industry.

Student services
Support is on hand from the International Office for students from overseas studying at Warwick, including help with orientation and finding out about life in the UK.
Housing services
The University has an extensive range of on-campus accommodation including flats and halls of residence with fast internet access included in the price. Note that overseas students are given preference for single rooms on campus. Alternatively you could get in contact with a local estate agent such as Elizabeth Davenport , who have property to let in Coventry and villages surrounding the University Campus.
Library services
With over one million printed titles and providing online access to over 16,000 journals and e-books, the University of Warwick library offers outstanding resources. As well as quiet and silent study areas, the library has group study areas and presentation rooms. WMG has dedicated library support and regular training sessions are given to new students.
Campus life
The main Warwick campus is 70 minutes from London, 20 minutes to Birmingham International Airport and only a few miles from Warwick Castle and Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeares birthplace and the home of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Warwick has an award winning 720 acre landscaped campus with four lakes and two woodland areas. It is a self-contained campus just 20 minutes from the centre of Coventry City and on the border of the county Warwickshire. With fantastic facilities and excellent access to local towns, cities and countryside, it provides an attractive, safe and supportive environment in which to live and study.
Sports facilities
Large sports centre with gym, indoor climbing wall, 25-metre swimming pool, all-weather tennis courts, 60 acres of outdoor playing fields and 70 sports clubs provide every opportunity for you to try something new or compete in your sport.
Student clubs
The heart of the social scene, with 8 bars and 4 food/coffee bars, the Union also has its own newspaper and radio station as well as over 250 societies to choose from.
