Description

There are two fully funded PhD positions, available in the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering at the University of Essex, UK. You are free to select any research topics within his research interests and develop a research proposal outlining the research you will perform for pursuing the degree.

Benefits

The scholarships cover the following:

Full-time PhD tuition fees for a student with oversees fee status (around £19,000 per annum)

A tax-free stipend of around £17,000 per year

Additional Training fund (around £2,000 total) for supporting training programme and conference attendance

Eligibility

  • You may apply for this scholarship with a bachelor's degree (or you will obtain the degree before October 2023) in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a relevant subject. It is preferred if you have a Master's degree. 

It would be much better if you have one or more of the following knowledge or skills. 

  • Machine learning / deep learning / artificial intelligence

  • Programming skills in Python or Matlab

  • Basic understanding of EEG signals

  • Excellent English writing

  • Knowledge of statistics 

  • Knowledge of signal processing
