Overview
About the Program
By working together, we can create a highly attractive overall package of PhD level research on materials chemistry and physics including access to world-leading facilities, a large range of graduate level courses across both disciplines, and specially designed skills training (both academic and non-academic).
The goal of the International Max Planck Research School for Chemistry and Physics of Quantum Materials program of the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids is to recruit PhD students from all over the world, and offer them an internationally leading PhD programme. In short, we want to create a cohort of lively, enthusiastic PhD students who relish international opportunities and the chance to work at the cutting edge of our field.Programme Structure
We offer a large variety of research projects in the fields of solid-state chemistry and condensed-matter physics. A full list of projects is available at https://imprs-cpqm.mpg.de/3025/PhD-Research_Projects.
Our research activities are complemented by a extensive selection of graduate-level courses in the relevant fields. We also offer non-academic training, e.g. skills courses or career workshops.
