The DPT is unique in integrating practice and research, and is designed to produce graduates who are equipped to meet the current and future needs and challenges of health & social care practice and research.

Post registration graduates can work in a variety of areas such as: private practice, public sector settings such the hospitals, GP clinics or health promotion services, industry, vocational rehabilitation, schools, nursing homes, hospices, community based rehabilitation programs, education and research centres.
