About

We offer the first – and only – doctoral program between China and Germany in the Social Sciences, a PhD program that includes a 6-12 month research stay at one of our four renowned partner universities: Jinan University (JNU) in Guangzhou, Renmin University (RUC) in Beijing, and Fudan University and the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS), both located in Shanghai. Our Chinese students join us here in Berlin for their research stay at Freie Universität, allowing plenty of opportunity for the exchange of ideas and perspectives.
