About the program
An interdisciplinary program leading to the Ph.D. degree in Animal Biosciences is offered under the direction of a committee composed of program graduate faculty at The University of Vermont.
The goal of this interdisciplinary program is to provide advanced education and research training in nutrition, metabolism, lactation, reproduction, genetics, and/or animal health.

- To be considered for admission, applicants must show promise of ability to pursue advanced study, have adequate preparation in the field, and be fluent in the English language.
The following required elements must be received in order for your application to be considered:
- Statement of purpose
- Three letters of recommendation
- Transcript(s)
- Test scores for English proficiency, for applicants whose native language is not English

- We are particularly interested in receiving a list of any publications, scientific presentations or academic awards.
