General requirements
- Admission requires a master's degree (or equivalent) from a recognized university. Students in the Department's M.Eng. (Thesis) program may petition to transfer to the Ph.D. program after one year without submitting the master’s thesis following a formal “fast-track” procedure.
- At their request, applicants (without a master's degree) with exceptionally high Academic Standing and outstanding research potential will be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D. program.
