Overview
The Computer Engineering programme is offered by the Universidade de Aveiro .
Multiple teaching projects, some with pioneering character in the country, and multifaceted research dynamics with international recognition, shape this history. History that also records the fundamental role it has played in the creation and structuring of a business fabric that has in Informatics and, more generally, in Information and Communication Technologies, an essential component of its activity.
The research activity has been present since the beginning of the activities of the University of Aveiro in general, and of the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics in particular, having been intensified with the creation of two research units: the Institute of Electronic Engineering and Telematics of Aveiro (IEETA) and the Institute of Telecommunications (IT).
The programme is focused on Computer Engineering and it is developed considering an academic as well as an industrial perspective.
Moreover, it is organized so that students from industry are able to attend it since courses are held on Fridays. It is completely taught in English, as it aims to attract both national and international audiences.
This program is intended for holders of a Master's degree, Second Cycle or equivalent, or for those who have a professional or scientific curriculum recognized as relevant and appropriate, showing, in any of the previous situations, a solid scientific and technological training in areas traditionally associated with Computer Engineering or in frontier areas that intersect with it.
