This branch is focused on technologies of the materials preparation, modifications (both surface and bulk) and determination of the interactions with living systems. It includes issues of materials for both medical and other applications (e.g. advanced materials for agriculture and other technical fields and materials based on renewable resources).

General requirements
- In addition to your desire to study further, you must demonstrate a certain level of English language for admissions to doctoral studies. In order to be accepted, you not only need to properly submit the application along with all the documents, but you will also undergo an entrance exam.
- The exam is oral and will cover your focus within the field, the preliminary topic of the dissertation and your previous professional and scientific activity. This is followed by a written test that will verify your knowledge of the English language.
