Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples:
The graduate will be able to apply creatively his acquired knowledge and to assert himself professionally in different branches of scientific research, industry and service in public, as well as in private sectors. In addition to the aforementioned theoretical knowledge the graduate in Physical Engineering obtains additional knowledge, skills and abilities:
- will be able to lead smaller or larger teams of scientific, research and development staff, lead large projects and take responsibility for complex solution of scientific and research problems,
- will be able to follow the latest scientific and research trends in its disciplines and complement and update its knowledge through lifelong learning,
- will acquire the principles of management work, design of experiment with the timing, conduct and control staff team,
- can communicate and cooperate with the managers of scientific projects and the specialists from other professions,
- can apply in its work also legal, social, moral, ethical, economic and environmental aspects of its profession.

The "Physical engineering" research student program graduate will acquire deep theoretical and methodological knowledge and experience on physical processes in various environments, concentrating on material properties and processes running in materials which are subject to scientific investigation or state-of-art development worldwide.

General conditions of acceptance for the study are determined by Regulations of acceptance procedure for the STU in Bratislava. In accordance with this document the Academic Senate of the FEI STU adopts annually "Principles of admission to study at FEI STU". Basic condition of acceptance to the doctoral program is acquiring a higher education of 2nd degree (graduation in master's or engineering study). Admission to the doctoral study includes an entrance interview.
