1. Deepening of the theoretical knowledge in the field of electromagnetic theory especially the analysis of the electromagnetic field with the matter and its utilization in practical problem solving.
2. Application of numerical methods in solutions modeling of practical cases of electromagnetic fields in a broad range of frequencies.
3. Acquiring of experience in the design and realization of experimental equipment for verification of theoretical results obtained through analytical and numerical solutions of electromagnetic fields.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples: 
The graduate of the study program - Philosophie doctor in Theoretical Electrical Engineering – copes with scientific methods of research and development of electrical technologies. He/she is able to analyze complex tasks in regard to the contemporary state of knowledge in a given field. He/she is able to formulate electro-technological problems in the branch of his/her specialization and to bring them to practical realizations. The graduate is qualified to solve scientific and research projects by himself using the appropriate mathematics and physics tools. He/she is able to manage working teams, to interpret the acquired results and to present them in professional and scientific journals and conferences. He/she is able to study independently the up-to-date topics, to enhance and to perfect permanently his/her education in the specified or related fields in order to cope with new knowledge and technologies. The graduate can work in professions like: research and development worker, analytical and conception worker, head worker at various levels of management and control.

Programme Structure

The doctoral study program "Electromagnetic Theory" provides the advanced education at the level of contemporary world research in the given subject area and partially also in closely associated areas (level 7 according to the European Qualification Framework for LLL and also to European Qualification Framework for Higher Education). This education is characteristic by deep theoretical and methodological knowledge and highly specialized practical skills in the field of theoretical electrical engineering that stimulate original thinking and creative and innovative approach to problem solving.
