NEU Institute of Applied Sciences was established for this purpose and offers quality graduate and postgraduate education with well-qualified teaching staff in ten branches including basic sciences, engineering, architecture and maritime studies. The Electrical and Electronic Engineering programme is offered by Near East University. 

The Institute of Applied Sciences is also carrying out the necessary studies to increase the number of scientific branches, particularly in interdisciplinary scientific branches.

The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.


Near East University is proud to announce that postgraduate scholarships will be granted to all prospective postgraduate students, which will give them an opportunity to proceed their postgraduate studies in an international environment.

  • The PhD scholarships do not cover, foundation courses, English/ Turkish Prep, bench fee and thesis fee.
  • The scholarships only valid for 4 years. Should the student exceed this duration, they are obliged to pay the necessary fees.
  • The 75% scholar granted students are required to fulfil 3 credit courses of lectures, must publish two articles in total, one of which should be in a journal indexed under SSCI, AHCI SCI or SCI Expanded and the second in a journal indexed under WOS or Scopus.
  • The 100% scholar granted students are required to fulfil 6 credit courses of lectures, must publish two articles in total, one of which should be in a journal indexed under SSCI, AHCI SCI or SCI Expanded and the second in a journal indexed under WOS or Scopus.
