Overview

Thorough discussion on widely used antidotes and selected poisoning cases will also be discussed during this Toxicology programme at Near East University. Laboratory results from the postmortem samples will be evaluated fort he forensic considerations.

The course will cover the psychoactive substance abuse and dependence, their origin and addictive mechanisms, their classification, selected examples, urine screening, the cost of drug abuse and health hazards potentials.

You will be given theoretical and practical knowledge about the basic concepts in immunotoxicology, evaluation of immunotoxicology, classification of systems in immunotoxicology.

You'll also learn about 

  • Toxicity potential of nanomaterials, nanoparticles and nanoaerosols and their managements in the organsims.
  • Chemical and biological agents exposed in working place based on principles and methods of toxicology.
  • Absorption, distribution, target organs and toxicity mechanisms of metals and antidotes using in metal poisonings and precautions.

Funding

Near East University is proud to announce that postgraduate scholarships will be granted to all prospective postgraduate students, which will give them an opportunity to proceed their postgraduate studies in an international environment.

  • The PhD scholarships do not cover, foundation courses, English/ Turkish Prep, bench fee and thesis fee.
  • The scholarships only valid for 4 years. Should the student exceed this duration, they are obliged to pay the necessary fees.
  • The 75% scholar granted students are required to fulfil 3 credit courses of lectures, must publish two articles in total, one of which should be in a journal indexed under SSCI, AHCI SCI or SCI Expanded and the second in a journal indexed under WOS or Scopus.
  • The 100% scholar granted students are required to fulfil 6 credit courses of lectures, must publish two articles in total, one of which should be in a journal indexed under SSCI, AHCI SCI or SCI Expanded and the second in a journal indexed under WOS or Scopus.
