Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

General Requirements

Applicants from outside the U.S. must submit completed application and personal data forms, three letters of recommendation,tTranscripts of all post-secondary academic work. In addition, applicants to the Ph.D. program must submit Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores (Verbal, Quantitative, and Analytical).

Admission normally requires a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in biology and 3.0 overall, as well as an appropriate background for graduate work in biology, including courses in genetics, biochemistry, evolution, organic chemistry, college physics, and calculus. Statistics is strongly recommended.
