Programme Structure

Living costs for Kraków

    Living Costs

The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.


  • Each student at the Doctoral School receives a monthly scholarship of ca. 2,100 PLN for the first two years of studies, and ca. 3200 PLN after they pass the mid-term evaluation. The total duration of the scholarship cannot exceed 4 (2+2) years. A doctoral student with disabilities will receive a doctoral scholarship increased by 30% of the basic amount.
  • The Doctoral School provides basic research funding for each PhD researcher. 
  • It is expected that doctoral students will successfully apply for research grants from external institutions. Extensive training in grant application is provided.
