Overview
Thanks to the canonical character of the study program (qualification framework according to Veritatis gaudium and evaluation AVEPRO), you will find employment in academic, research, administrative or pastoral positions within the entire Catholic Church (usually without the need for nostrification). You will also have the ability to participate in basic and applied research at all types of academic institutions and universities in theology and related fields, teach at secondary schools, work in charitable organizations, liturgical commissions, in catechetical formation, in state administration bodies and in non-profit organizations. Finally, you will be able to work in the academic sphere and teach at universities worldwide.
Competencies & Employment after the Catholic Theology programme at Palacký University Olomouc
- After graduating from the study program, you will understand the research problems at the crossroads of several branches of Catholic theology.
- You will be able to develop and evaluate the concepts, theories and methods of your selected specialization.

Certified copy of Master´s degree diploma - you are also eligible to apply during the last year of your current study programme, provided you obtain your final degree and submit a certified copy before 30 September of the respective year.

Letter of Recommendation – from a professor or an academic who can assess the applicant’s ability and motivation to enroll in the program
Dissertation project proposal – the proposal of max. 5 pages must define the theoretical or empirical research field of the dissertation project, overall aim of the research, state-of-the-art discussion of theory and research in the area, suggested methodological approach, and bibliography
