You choose the Computational Mechanics and Materials doctorate at MINES ParisTech. Generally speaking, the doctorate at CEMEF is based on the engineering culture of Mines Paris. The approach is therefore oriented towards industry. The objective is often to provide detailed scientific understanding of an industrial problem. The doctorate therefore constitutes real professional experience.

Curriculum:
- Generally speaking, here is how thesis projects are organized at CEMEF.
- First of all, thesis students join one of the research teams and benefit from the supervision of researchers specializing in the themes of their thesis.
- They also receive support from research support staff (engineers and technicians).
- Secondly, doctoral students have the IT and hardware/cluster resources to carry out their thesis project.

General requirements
- To be a doctoral candidate, you must hold either a national master's degree or another degree conferring the degree of master, or an engineering degree, or equivalent Bac+5.
- There must also be a match between the candidate's curriculum and the discipline of the proposed doctoral program.
