Endodontology is the branch of dentistry that is concerned with the biology, physiology, pathology, and treatment of the dental pulp and periradicular tissues.
About the program
The Department of Endodontics at Boston University also trains students in other dental subjects that are related to endodontic practice. Dr. Herbert Schilder’s warm gutta percha vertical compaction technique is taught and practiced in the clinics. The department emphasizes integration of research training into their clinical training.
