- Applicants normally should have completed an M.S. degree program with at least a 3.25 grade-point average, and hold a B.S. degree with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or equivalent. Normally the M.S. degree is required for admission to the Ph.D. program. Exceptional students, however, may be admitted to the Ph.D. program directly.
