Overview

Objectives

The 2D Materials research group at TU Dresden will aim to:

Adress the potential of the chemistry approaches for synthetic 2D materials (2DMs), in order to achieve structurally well-definded 2DMs; controlled chemical funtionalization, multfunctional hybrids & superstructures;
Develop in-situ & ex-situ characterization methods, for monitoring the reaction mechanisms & analyising the structures, the stablitiy as well as the intrinsic optical, electronic, catalytic, magnetic, mechanical & transport properties of 2DMs;
Achieve understanding on the 2DM's formation & structure-property relationship with the support of advanced theoretical modelling methods.
