Overview
The areas of research in the Languages and Translation Studies programme from University of Turku belong to linguistic, translation and literary scholarship and to other humanistic studies, and their approach is often multi- or cross-disciplinary.
Goals
- providing education for all doctoral researchers of the School of Languages and Translation Studies
- assisting them in their dissertation work
- helping them to commit themselves to the community of researchers within the School and to network with the research community at large
- deepening their expertise in their fields of specialty

- Applicants from outside the University of Turku must supply a copy of the degree certificate (diploma) and also a copy of the previous degree certificate, along with a copy of the transcript of records or other qualifications.

- There are required knowledge of languages.

Funding
There is annually a call for applications for salaried doctoral candidate positions in Doctoral Programme Utuling. It is usually in the beginning of the autumn term.
