Overview

This Materials Engineering PhD programme from Kaunas University of Technology   encompasses wide totality of scientific problems, involving various issues of the research of materials aiming to improve the present properties of materials, create new materials and obtain information about properties of materials that have not been researched yet (the issues of materials science), as well as works of technological nature aiming to create more efficient methods for production of materials (it is an object of technology).

Materials engineering doctoral studies, involve research of global level in the laboratories equipped with modern equipment, focused on creation, development and application of technologies for knowledge-intensive material production processes.

  • Official legalised Bachelor’s and Master’s diplomas or a higher education degree equivalents and academic transcripts (only the final diplomas and diploma supplements are submitted; provisional degree certificates are not accepted)

  • Recommendations by two researchers of the relevant science field
  • A research proposal on the selected topic if the applicant applies to the science fields of Physics, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Informatics Engineering, Measurement Engineering or Management
  • A list of the research works with a full bibliographic description and copies; if no research works by the applicant are presented, the applicant is required to present a research paper whose topic is consistent with the dissertation topic indicated in the applicant’s application
  • A copy of the passport page with personal data, or a copy of the ID card
