The Department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology includes faculty involved in the study of the epidemiology, diagnosis, pathogenesis, and prevention/control of infectious and parasitic diseases of animals and humans. The Veterinary Pathobiology program is offered at Kansas State University.

Overview

In addition, the Department has faculty with expertise in topics related to food safety and security, public health and zoonosis. Opportunities exist for advanced graduate work after the Master’s degree include the Doctor of Philosophy degree in the areas of bacterial and viral pathogenesis, clinical and anatomic pathology, epidemiology, immunology, parasitology, toxicology, and food safety and security.
