- The 440 Dentistry - Dental Surgery students at the The Ohio State University are educated alongside 64 dental hygiene students by 103 full-time faculty and 184 part-time faculty. Our exceptional classroom and laboratory instruction, along with a strong hands-on clincal training program, will prepare you for succes in your dental career.
- We are home to seven of the nine ADA recognized specialties providing our DDS students with insight and exposure to unique learning opportunities.

General requirements
The College of Dentistry evaluates the following items when determining an applicant's admissibility:
- To be considered for an interview, applicants must meet minimum requirements:
- DAT AA: 17
- DAT PAT: 17
- DAT Total Science: 17
- Total GPA 3.0
- Total Science GPA 3.0
- Bachelor's degree, prior to admission is preferred; however, an applicant must complete a minimum of 90 semester hours at an accredited four-year college or university. Specific undergraduate major that focuses on a strong science core such as biology or chemistry is beneficial.
