Do you aspire to be a leader and innovator in the healthcare administration field? Walden University’s Doctor of Healthcare Administration (DHA) program can prepare you with the knowledge, skills, and credentials you need to impact the healthcare landscape and make a positive change in your career and community.

In this fully online, multidisciplinary program, you can:

  • Deepen your understanding of how the Affordable Care Act and other reform initiatives have impacted the current healthcare environment.
  • Gain decision-making and problem-solving skills to effectively manage the healthcare delivery demands of healthcare organizations and the communities they serve.
  • Achieve a new level of professional credibility and recognition and position yourself to move into executive-level roles.

A more affordable option than many similar online programs, Walden’s online doctoral program in healthcare administration can prepare you for executive leadership roles in settings such as hospital systems, consulting firms, medical practices, universities, and many types of care facilities.

This program offers two entry tracks:

  • If you hold a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA), select Track I, which offers a shorter path to degree completion because students are able to transfer in MHA foundation courses.
  • If you hold a master’s degree in an academic discipline other than healthcare administration, select Track II, which provides additional core course content covering the United States healthcare delivery system, financial management and economics, healthcare operations management, and human resource management for healthcare administrators.

  • Walden University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission.
Accreditation validates that a university and its programs are rigorous and offer relevant content. Walden University’s accreditation means:
  • The quality of the institution and its programs are continually reassessed and improved.
  • Credits earned are easier to transfer than credits earned at non-accredited institutions.
When evaluating credentials, employers and universities often look for applicants who earned a degree from an accredited university.
