After the final exam ("defensio") you will be awarded the academic degree "Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology Psychology" - abbreviated (PhD). The title can be abbreviated as “Dr.” as well due to special university regulations and legal situations in Austria and Germany. The academic title can be inlcuded in official documents (passport) in the European Union.”
The above-mentioned program is recognized in Quebec, Canada, by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Science for loans and grants commencing in the 2014-2015 school year . The courses in Advanced Statistics and Reasearch Methods (part I and II) are beeing held at our university in Vienna - each one blocked on approx. 5-6 weekends. Credit transfers from graduate level is possible.
The PhD thesis can be done in various fields of psychology – you are welcome to propose your own research topic or choose one of the topics from our list.
