History
Teikyo University was founded in 1966. Originally it had just two faculties: the Faculty of Liberal Arts, with English Literature and Japanese Literature departments, and the Faculty of Economics and Department of Economics.

Housing services
The University does not have its own accommodation facilities; however we can arrange accommodation at designated properties.
Library services
The Media Library Center houses some 650,000 publications and has 1,800 seating spots along with computer stations for title searches and report writing.
ICT services
The library MELIC network provides internet access. Many students choose this option.
Medical services
Teikyo University operates six hospitals equipped with the latest equipment and advanced medical practices to provide a tailored health care program for every patient. The University also operates osteopathic clinics and psychology practices that provide local services to the community.
Campus life
Teikyo University has five separate campuses. Hachioji has the highest number of students and is considered the comfortable environment for study and research. Itabashi is equipped with state-of-the-art advanced medical facilities, while both Utsunomiya and Fukuoka boast extensive and well-appointed research and training environments. Kasumigaseki is an open learning institute that is accessible to the wider community.
Sports facilities
- Arena is the name of the gymnasium which is used by sporting clubs and groups and occasionally for classes.
