Generating relevant and high quality contributions in the development of science, technology, and art for the needs of national and international level communities is the main objective of ITS Research Centers. Therefore, ITS is always trying to find new innovations to meet the goals. One of strategies is to develop research and community service.
Career
Student Advisory Center (SAC) is a unit which aims to increase the competence of the students in order to prepare themselves for seeking jobs and providing the students about the sustainable services to have a job. SAC is also to helps ITS in creating qualified human resources. SAC has several programs to offer training for seeking jobs, students training based on psychology aspect, job vacancy, etc.

They measure university reputation based on the impressions of higher education experts, companies who hire graduates, and teaching quality. QS also considers the ratio of international teachers and students present at universities, as well as the times research papers were mentioned by researchers. After calculating and comparing these criteria, QS ranks the universities accordingly.

World University Rankings is a vital resource that provides the definitive list of the world's best universities. They look at how often they're producing new ideas, what their reputation is around the world, and how much they're contributing to science and academic fields. After calculating and comparing these criteria, THE ranks the universities accordingly.
Housing services
ITS provides accommodation for International Students. The accommodation provided by ITS is the international dormitory. There are two dorms, which is in Blok J and Blok D. International students are also allowed if they prefer to stay in the local dormitory. Besides dormitory, international students may stay in an apartment near to ITS. They can arrange their own accommodation or ask assistance from ITS International Office.
Library services
ITS central library is in a six-storey building with total building area 9,000 m . The total staff in the library is 41 staffs who have responsibility in managing more than 80,000 printed textbooks title, 12 e-journal, 10,000 audio visual data and 18,000 digital library collections. The system of digital library or DIGILIB is now becoming the featured program in ITS Library.
Medical services
ITS Medical Center is a health service center for ITS local community and public. ITS Medical Center concerns on out-patient services, medical treatment, and medical support referral.
Campus life
Occupying a large area of 180 hectares as it main campus, ITS provides advantages for both excellent scientific activities and pleasant natural life environment. Covering an area in the vicinity of east Surabaya, ITS also has a very friendly atmosphere and enormous community spirit. The institute has long been maintaining its reputation for innovative and proactive relationship with industries and the public services.
Sports facilities
To support students' activities in sport, ITS provides:

- Mount Climbing Vertical Wall (25 meters height)
Student clubs
Student Community Centre is a place where all of the secretariats of ITS Student Communities. Most of the student communities hold their acitivities in this building. It is not only for holding formal activities but also for informal gathering to spent times together.
