School of Economics

The School of Economics offers various pathways to MSc study for both economists and non-economists on a full and part-time basis. Our range of MSc programmes is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in the private or public sector, or as a preparation for a research career.

About

The School of Economics at Kent offers both taught and research postgraduate degrees, covering all aspects of the subject. We are dedicated to excellence in both teaching and research, demonstrated by results in the Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) 2008 and recent student surveys. All academic staff are research active, and teaching and learning are informed by the School's thriving research culture and strong cosmopolitan academic community. Our taught programmes offer a combination of excellent training in core economics with the opportunity to specialise in areas such as finance, econometrics, development, agriculture or the environment.

All our students have access to dedicated office and computer facilities and to the University’s excellent resources, and our location, on the University’s Canterbury campus, gives easy access to both London and continental Europe.
