Housing services

The Estonian University of Life Sciences guarantees accommodation in its hall of residence for all international exchange students. It is possible to live in the Torn residence (Kreutzwaldi 52, Tartu).

The accommodation form for beginning academic year is usually open from the first full week in August.

The rooms are mostly double rooms with a WC, shower and a small kitchen. Pillows and blankets are provided (3€/month), but students should bring their own towels, bed linen, kitchen utensils and anything else they feel they may need. Outlets operate at 220 V/50 Hz.

Campus life

Tartu is the second biggest town in Estonia with about 100 000 inhabitants. It is nationally known as the "town of universities" as it hosts 11 higher education facilities. The traditions of high-level higer education in Tartu go back to the Swedish times, approximately 400 years ago.

Sports facilities

It is important to be strong and healthy. The university has facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports. There are training periods where both novices and experts can practise their skills. A special fitness room is well equipped for fitness training and weight lifting. Other popular sports events at our university are aerobics, bodybuilding, volleyball, basketball, athletics, skiing, boxing and rowing. See the prices here (webpage in Estonian).
