History
Created in 21 March 2007, the Université de Lyon in the form of a "public scientific cooperation organization" (EPCS).
Education
The study programs on offer in health sciences give access to the totality of the medical professions (doctor of medicine, pharmacist, dentist and midwife) and paramedical professions (audioprothesist, ergotherapist, physiotherapist, speech therapist, orthoptist, physiotherapist specialised in psychomotor integration).
Research
Lyon 1 is a multidisciplinary university specializing in both fundamental and applied research and as such it can boast more than 4300 internationally published articles and 40 patents per year.

- The International Offices act as a relay for the International Relations Department (DRI) in each of the 13 university departments.
- They are led by a teacher, named “International Mobility Correspondent” (CMI), whose mission is to guide educationally the foreign students and answer any questions concerning their mobility, and an administrative agent named “International Mobility Administrative Assistant” (AMI) who is in charge of all practical formalities for the foreign students reception and stay.
