Good Professors, bad Bureaucracy.
The professors in Social Sciences in political sciences are very good! I am very satisfied with my studies thus far. However, the organization of the University and structures is very bad. While the professors do motivate you to keep going and to be innovative in the field of studies, the University itself (on the bureaucratic level) is demotivating.
Student review
The quality of the courses depends heavily on the teacher/supervisor of that course. There are some difficult courses with disagreeable teachers but also some that teach well and seem to care about the students. Overall I would say this is an average German university, the computer science courses tend to have a little more practical work included than in some other universities.
A young and vibrant university
It is a very demanding university with demanding curriculum, which challenges students to go above and beyond their capabilities. Overall, it was a lot of fun studying at this university, and even though the course was demanding, it was a real challenging experience that i would go through with again.
