A unique tailored academic experience
I picked this study as it is one of the only in the world. Loving politics and also the arts, I decided to pursue my studies in this Bachelors. In our first year, we have introductory modules on the different majors that we are to pick in our second year, Humans & AI/Reimagining Sustainability/Arts and Media/Culture and Social Justice. These introductory modules are very in depth and requires you to do a lot of course readings before lectures and classes. You would have to study hard as our academic year is broken into 2 semesters, which each semester is broken down into 3 blocks. Most modules last 1 block each, with some lasting 2. This means with the amount of information you are to study, you are to learn and memorise it all within 6 weeks of class. This will require dedication and perseverance. In the second semester of the first year of studies, you can apply for electives that are offered from the different courses in the UvA. This allows students to be able to explore and tailor make their learning experience in the University. This is one of the major benefits that I really appreciate, with the student academic support team in the school giving useful advise and also guiding talk sessions, for the students to be familiar and aware of their options in the University.
They are much good than my country
I wana learn things by practical ways and not just theories
Great program but few contact with lecturers
I really enjoyed my studies, especially for the value added of other university features: Plenty student associations you can join, forums where influential figures come to discuss with students, multiple career and master fairs and opportunities to do a Minor or Exchange. I learned a lot during my bachelor and met a lot of interesting people .
