  • Financing your studies (grants and scholarships)
  • Psychological counselling

Finding accommodation in Munich is difficult but not impossible. The majority of students here rely on private accommodation. Options include flat-sharing (approx. 400-600 € per month), private run residence halls (approx. 400-600€ per month) or a single-apartment (500-800 € per month). Universities in Germany don't own residence halls and don't provide students with rooms but give assistance in searching for accommodation.

Library services

The Karlstraße sub-library supplies the Department of Architecture with literature and information. The older book stock of the Karlstraße library comes from the Königlichen Bayerischen Baugewerkschule (Royal Bavarian Architectural School), founded in 1822, which was transferred to the Staatliche Bauschule (State Architectural School) Munich in 1909.

ICT services

Computer labs for students are located at Lothstr. 34, Building G, first floor (main entrance). All terminals are equipped with internet access, Windows and Linux operating systems as well as SUN workstations for lectures. Students are also entitled to an e-mail account.

Campus life

The Karlstraße campus is located near Karlsplatz (Stachus), in the center of Munich. Around 2,050 students are trained in three faculties of the "Building Cluster":

Sports facilities

All students have access to the athletic facilities of the Olympic Village which was built for the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. The ZHS (Zentraler Hochschulsport) publishes its program every semester and offers a large variety of sports. Dues range from 7.50 to 15.00 per semester. Great program for entrepreneurial minded students

Whether you want to start your own business or are interested in digital topics, this program is a good choice either way. I especially liked the partially free choice of subjects from the catalog as well as the intercultural exchange with fellow students.

Strong international support

Great University although some things are certainly lacking and I feel they can do better. For international students, its harder to make friends so a buddy system can be implemented or at least social events (on campus) that can allow for students to engage with one another.

Provisions

The Master of Paper Technology program at MUAS is the only English-speaking program of its type in Germany. The solid partnership among colleges, their students, and companies is the highlight of the course. The course additionally gave assistance with housing and a host of additional benefits for its students. The campus, which happens to be in the center of Munich, also provides an extensive number of benefits for students.
