Campus life
Covering six hectares and with a facade stretching across 440 meters, the baroque palace in Mannheim is one of the largest in Europe. The palace, or Schloss, which was built between 1720 and 1760, originally served as the winter residence of the Prince Elector of the Palatinate. Today, the Schloss is home to the University of Mannheim and is at the heart of the campus. If you would like to see the Schloss as it once was, you can visit the museum and take a guided tour of the historic rooms, or alternatively, you can attend the annual Schlossfest, a festival which takes place in September.
Sports facilities
Currently, access to sports facilities indoors is only possible with 2G+, outdoors only with 2G!
Definition of 2G+: Access only for vaccinated or convalescent persons with a negative rapid test (doctor's office, pharmacy or official citizen test center) or PCR test (persons with a booster vaccination are excluded from the testing obligation in the 2G+ regulation).
Student clubs
With over 50 student organizations, the University of Mannheim has a lot to offer its students outside of the lecture halls. Getting involved with a student organization is a good opportunity to gain practical experience and meet new people, especially at the start of your studies. The large number of different organizations means that there is something suitable for almost everyone who wants to become actively engaged in voluntary work.

Needs more global reach
Good university, but lacks internationalization. Courses are good. The Master in Management allows students to choose their own courses so it is also very flexible. Teachers are very open and the lectures are very informative. Highly recommend this programme.
Role of Universitys reputation
I would like to highlight how crucial is the reputation of the university as one of top 10 business schools in Europe. The questionable relevance of lecture contents gets overshadowed by the amount of doors opening to you should you just briefly mention your place of studies. In the end its internships and people you meet what matters for the future career, not the models learnt in the lecture, in the first place. That only becomes possible thought exclusivity of your institution - Mannheim does a great job in that.
Unique facilities
Students can easily access state-of-the-art resources thanks to the university's unique facilities. Because the labs are outfitted with the newest technology, experiential learning is a fundamental component of the curriculum. Because they are passionate about what they teach, professors create interesting learning environments by using real-world examples in their lessons. The campus is clean, orderly, and equipped with contemporary technology that improves the educational process as a whole.
