About Daniel
Tell us a bit about yourself. What is your name? How old are you? Where do you come from?
My name is Daniel Scatton, I am 19 years old. I am from Spain, Madrid. I studied in Milton Keynes College because I had to improve my English because I would like to study my favorite degree: Biology with Specialization in Equine Science in North Carolina, USA. Also, I think it is very important to learn English because it opens a lot of doors to you around the world.
Where did you take your language course (name of institution, city, country)? What type of language course did you take and what language did you learn? How long was your language programme?
I spent 9 months in Silbury Campus and Chaffron Way Campus with great partners and fabulous teachers. I took the IETLS course, ESOL course, Listening Course and Pronunciation Course with excellent teachers who helped me a lot. My priorities were having a good atmosphere at the college, in class, good relations with my partners and teachers and Milton Keynes College has all that and more.
Also in MK College you have a good exchange international programme because you can meet a lot of people from different countries for example: Oman, France, Italy, Colombia, Germany etc. I think it is so good when you want to meet different cultures.
How he chose his course
Why did you want to learn a language abroad?
I saw a lot of English Centers and Colleges to study English for example in the USA and Spain but I choose MK College because they offered me an ideal course to learn English in a great place. Also, their facilities were fantastic to achieve my goal and thanks to that I feel comfortable during my season there.
What were your main priorities when choosing your language school and your language course?From the beginning, I choose UK because I wanted to have a full English language immersion because everything around you is in the language you are learning. For example, if you go to the supermarket or the shopping centre you have to speak in English in order to communicate with people.
What other language schools did you consider? What was the main reason for your final choice?I was looking for a good college in the UK and near from my uncle’s house because they offered to host me. Then I found MK College and I really liked its offer about English courses. After that, I sent an email to them about myself. They showed interest in me and gave me a good plan to start my English Language studies.

I would like to recommend MK College because they have excellent teachers, great facilities and their learning methods, such as small size classes and their personalized attention, whose will provide the best experience.

What would be your advice for others from your country that consider attending a language course abroad?
My advice for people who want to study English abroad is that it is a great opportunity to improve and learn. You will enjoy meeting new people and their cultures.
In my opinion, I had a good experience in MK College because when I arrived there I did not have enough English level to study in the USA. But months later thanks to my effort and my teachers with their classes and their support I accomplished my goal to learn and improve my English to study in the USA.
Why would you (not) recommend this particular city/university?
I am so happy with the decision I made with MK College and if I have to do it again I will choose MK College without any doubt. After completed my course in MK College I am currently working on my travel plan to go to the university in the USA.
What was the biggest surprise in your language learning adventure abroad?
My biggest surprise was that I was confident to communicate in English with everybody in any situation in a short time.
