Although Exeter is not a metropolis, nor does it have the vibe of a busy city, you can enjoy many activities and discover interesting places during your study abroad experience. Visit Exeter’s iconic monuments, like:

Go to Fore Street, where you can find a number of good outdoor shops. Princesshay is home to over 70 retailers and offers some of the best shopping in the country. A place where mostly young people hangout is Exeter quay – an area where former warehouses have been converted into antique shops, quirky stores, craft workshops, restaurants and pubs.
If you are into sports, join Exeter Cricket Club or Exeter Rowing Club.

International atmosphere in Exeter
Exeter is quite a small city with a compact, typically British population. The largest ethnical minority group in Exeter is a Chinese community. Other minorities include people coming from Ireland, Poland and countries from Asia and Africa. As a student living here, you will encounter different cultures, in addition to your other international colleagues at university.
Weather Exeter
Exeter has a temperate and maritime climate with mild winters and warm summers with hot and sometimes cooler rainfalls. Temperatures do not vary much throughout the year. The hottest month is July with an average high of 21°C (70°F), and the coldest month is January with an average high of 8°C (46°F).
