Description
The Universidad Europea de Madrid and Banco Santander announce the Santander Progress Scholarships with the aim of facilitating access to higher education for students with the best academic records nationwide.
Benefits
The scholarship lasts for one academic year and up to €1,000 is awarded.
Eligibility
The student should have one of the best academic records for the academic year immediately prior to applications opening for the scholarship. This record shall be appraised according to the following criteria:
- Undergraduate students who are completing their first undergraduate programme shall be assessed according to their university entrance exam.
- Students commencing a postgraduate degree shall be assessed according to the average mark they earned on the undergraduate studies that allow them to pursue a master’s.
- Second-year postgraduate students shall be assessed according to their average mark in the first year (recognised subjects shall not be considered).
- Doctorate students shall be assessed according to the average mark they earned on the postgraduate studies that allowed them to pursue a doctorate.

The student must have received financial aid from the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training or an equivalent scholarship or grant from the Department of Education of any autonomous community during the academic year immediately prior to applying for the grant. This is a compulsory requirement.
