Description

Schwarzman Scholars is an unparalleled graduate program for the next generation of young leaders, anchored in a fully-funded 10-month Master's Degree in Global Affairs at Beijing's Tsinghua University.

The experience encompasses unique opportunities in and outside the classroom, including extensive leadership training, a network of senior mentors, opportunities to engage in high-level interactions with Chinese leaders and visiting speakers, optional internships, career development, and travel seminars around China.

Eligibility

  • Schwarzman Scholars is seeking high-caliber applicants who will represent the world's next generation of leaders. The program is open to students and young professionals between the ages of 18 and 28 years old, regardless of nationality, who are proficient in English and have obtained an undergraduate degree.
  • Undergraduate degree or first degree from an accredited college or university or its equivalent. 
  • Candidates must be at least 18 but not yet 29 years of age as of August 1 of their Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year.
  • Applicants must demonstrate strong English skills, as all teaching will be conducted in English. If the applicant's native language is not English, official English proficiency test scores must be submitted with the application.

Interested candidates participate in a rigorous and thorough selection process, designed to identify the most promising young leaders from around the world. Those selected will have demonstrated their potential to produce results within their own culture and context by inspiring and guiding groups and to not only benefit from but also contribute to the Schwarzman Scholars program. The process includes an online application and evaluation as well as in-person regional interview.
