Description
Established in 2019, this scholarship has been generously donated by Carole Muller to support students undertaking postgraduate study and/or research in the field of Balinese culture, art and history.
Benefits
Domestic student: This scholarship will provide a stipend allowance of $35,000 per annum for up to three years, subject to satisfactory academic performance. The recipient may apply for an extension of up to six months.
International student: This scholarship will provide either academic course fees for up to 12 research periods, or a stipend allowance of $35,000 per annum for up to three years, subject to satisfactory academic performance. The recipient may apply for an extension of up to two research periods or up to six months.
Eligibility
You must:
- be enrolled, intending to apply, applied for admission, have a conditional or have an unconditional offer to study a full-time PhD
- undertake research the field of Balinese culture, art or history
- hold an honours degree (first class or second class upper), a master’s degree in a related field with a substantial research component, or an equivalent award course
- have an aptitude for fieldwork
- have a background in a relevant discipline
- be proficient in or have a strong desire to become proficient in the Indonesian language.
