Description

This scholarship has been funded by the Australian Research Council (ARC) through its Discovery Project scheme (Project ID: DP250100454) to support a PhD candidate conducting research into Chinese temple theatre architecture. The successful candidate will be based at the School of Languages and Cultures (SLC), supervised by Professor Xiaohuan Zhao (SLC) and Professor Duanfang Lu from the Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning.

Benefits

The Scholarship will provide a stipend allowance of $27,000 per annum for up to 3 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance.

Eligibility

You must:

  • be willing to apply for admission, applied for admission or have a conditional or an unconditional offer of admission to study full-time in a PhD in School of Languages and Cultures, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
  • conduct research into Chinese temple theatre architecture
  • hold a first or upper second class honours, or master's degree with a substantial research component in theatre and/or architecture.
