Description
The City Law School offers one full-time, three-year doctoral scholarship each year to support outstanding Black British applicants pursuing research in any of the School's key legal research areas.
The scholarship is part of the University's commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in legal academia and aims to increase the representation of Black British researchers in law.
Benefits
Full tuition fee waiver for three years.
Annual maintenance bursary at the UKRI doctoral stipend rate £22,780.
Up to £1,000 research support fund for conference attendance, research materials, and related expenses.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Identify as Black British.
- Apply for a full-time PhD in Law at The City Law School.
- Hold an LLB (or equivalent) and normally a Master's degree.
- Submit a strong research proposal in one of the School's research areas.
- Meet the University's academic and English language entry requirements.
