Description
The City Law School awards two doctoral studentships each year to applicants demonstrating exceptional academic achievement and strong potential to produce high-quality legal research.
Studentships are available for research in any area of law, with applications particularly welcomed in the School's areas of research expertise.
Benefits
An annual bursary (currently £22,780, per annum) that will rise in line with UKRI stipends.
Full tuition fee waiver.
Research expenses (up to £1,000 over three years) to support research needs such as specialist training, equipment or conference attendance.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Apply for a full-time PhD in Law.
- Hold an LLB with at least an upper second-class (2:1) honours (or international equivalent).
- Normally hold a Master's degree in Law or a related discipline with at least Merit (or equivalent).
- Demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and strong research potential.
- Submit a competitive research proposal.
- Meet the University's English language requirements (normally IELTS 7.0 overall, with at least 6.5 in Reading and Writing) if applicable.
- Applications are open to UK and international applicants.
