Description

The George Morris Entrance Scholarship was established by the former George Morris Centre to acknowledge George Morris's leadership, dedication and impact with respect to agri-food policy research and training. The Department will nominate either one PhD student or 2 MSc students entering a graduate program offered by the Department of Food, Agriculture and Resource Economics. OAC Awards will request nominations from units in the Fall.

The scholarship is worth up to 2 awards of no more than $10,000 (split over fall and winter semesters).

Eligibility

  • Selection will be based on the quality of the student’s statement of research interest/academic intent in their application to the program and their admission average.
  • Students entering a full-time PhD program or a MSc Program offered by the Department of Food, Agriculture and Resource Economics who are interested in research relating to policy.
